Valentine's Day 2010: Part I.
Valentine's Day gift box from Papa & Gigi!!! Thank you for always being so thoughtful and sweet! We love and miss you guys!
Spring Bonnet Parade
Every year Hudson and London's school has a Spring Bonnet Parade for the parents. Here are some pictures from this year's parade.
Here is London being pushed along in a crib full of babies in flowery bonnets!

Doesn't she look pretty?!?!?! I love her little hat!
I think Hudson might have a little crush on this teacher, Ms. Webb. He kind of "works it" with her. She loves him so much and hates to see him upset or sad. When I asked him why she was carrying him and why he didn't walk in the parade, he told me it was because he missed Daddy. He has to be right up there at the top of the World's Best Pouter's List. So here he is with a big sad face but wearing the super cute spring bonnet he made:
Ms. Webb said he couldn't wait to wear his hat and that he had been wearing it most of the day! What a goof! He was very proud of it. We met Jason for dinner later that night and he had to take his hat to show it to his Daddy. While we were waiting for Jason to arrive, he showed his hat to nearly everyone in the restaurant. He was trying his very best to keep his pout on and not smile in this picture!
We saw this cool truck in the school parking lot after the parade and Hudson couldn't wait to take a picture with it!

Valentine's Day 2010: Part II.
Hudson and London had a Valentine's Day party and Valentine card exchange at school. Hudson was so excited to hand out his Valentine at school he could hardly contain himself. It was torture for him to wait for his party to take them to school. He had to play with the box of cards every night until it was time to take them to school. Here is a picture of his Valentine's cards (they were Cars themed and we also did Fun Dip Valentines)
London had Tinkerbell Valentines:
We made treats for Hudson and London's wonderful teachers:
I had to go to their school at lunch to take a fruit tray for Hudson's class. They just finished making their Valentine's bags and all of the kids wanted me to take their picture once they saw I had a camera! They all crack me up! One little girl always says, "Hudson Holladay, your mommy is here!!!". I always leave with a big smile!
This is my favorite Valentine that London received from her friend, Sadie! I am totally stealing this idea another year for Hudson! I thought is was so creative!!!

St. Patty's Day 2010
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you all had a day full of good luck! This was the first year Hudson really understood when I told him he had to wear a green shirt so he wouldn't get pinched. Although, he didn't really understand WHY if he wore green he wouldn't get pinched. I wasn't really sure what the actual reasoning was behind this so of course I Googled it when I got to work so I would be more prepared next time he asked me this question...because he will! What did we do before Google?? We are all so much smarter for it! So why does green protect us from getting pinched you say? Well, the best explaination I found was that way back in the 1800's people truly believed in Leprechauns and believed they liked to pinch people. They thought that if you wore green, you would be hidden from them and they wouldn't see you to pinch you. I feel like there is still a lot missing from this story but I figured I better stop searching for Leprechaun stories on the internet and start working! Maybe one day I'll find a more complete story! Until then...here are a couple pictures of my Lucky Charms:

Happy first 13th Anniversary!
Hudson made us wear birthday hats for the occasion! 13 years---how time flies when you're having fun!
March 9th, 13 years ago, we were married at Cupid's Chapel in Las Vegas! Then we drove all the way up the coast from San Diego to Seattle. It was such an adventure! What great memories!! (One of these days I will get our pictures scanned since that was before the days of digital cameras.)
Hudson pictures
Hudson LOVES Spiderman right now. Jason was so excited when he took a trip to Wal-Mart one day and came across this Spiderman suit for Hudson! He called on his way home to tell Hudson he had a surprise for him so Hudson was on pins and needles for Jason to get home. Unfortunately, in all of Jason's excitement he accidentally grabbed the wrong size. We let Hudson play with the mask part until they could go back to Wal-Mart the next day to get the right size. Jason said when they were at Wal-mart, Hudson had to tell everyone they passed that they were there to get a new Spiderman suit because Daddy got the wrong size. As soon as they got home, he completely turned into Spiderman! He recently watched Spiderman 2 so he was busy re-enacting his favorite scenes. He remembered that Spiderman's real name is Peter Parker so when he took his mask off he told me he wasn't Hudson, he was Peter Parker! Then he put his mask back on and pretended to cover the Sand Monster with spider web and he saved me from falling off a building! He even asked me to pull his mask half-way up and give him a kiss like they do on the movie! It's hard to get a picture of him in his Spider suit because in the movie, Spiderman tells the media he doesn't want his picture taken and runs away. So, when I try to take a picture of Hudson he runs and hides and tells me, "No pictures!". Kids soak up EVERYTHING!! He is a constant source of entertainment.
In the rare pictue below, I was in the process of folding clothes. I dumped them out of the basket so they made a big mound on the floor. Before I knew it, Hudson dove from the couch to the pile of clothes. I think it was a little less soft than he thought! I had to give him a little lecture about not diving off of things like Spiderman does. : )
Hudson is getting so big! I bought him a bunch of 3T clothes for winter time and he has already grown out of almost all of them. He's cruising right into 4T clothes! He's so excited to be a big boy. Everytime he eats dinner he tells me he has to eat good food so he'll get big and strong. Funny story: Yesterday I asked him if he had something in his eye because he kept blinking his eyes. He said, "No. Just carrots.". One day, a long time ago, I told him he needed to eat his carrots because they would help him to see far like Spiderman. I guess he still hasn't forgotten that carrots help your eyes!
Reed & Bella's Birthday
Last weekend we went to Reed & Isabella's birthday party. Hudson had a great time playing rough with the older boys in the moonwalk. At one point, I had to yank him out with my one free hand and give him a good talking to though. It didn't take him long to learn from the older boys and he became like a bulldozer in there! He was tackling kids twice his size and pushing kids over. He came home with a big bruise on his chin that he wore as a badge of honor. They also had a clown there and he was chosen to assist the clown for a little while. He got a new glow-in-the-dark dinosaur puzzle for being a good helper. He got to fill a goodie bag with candy from the pinata. Then he topped the fun off with a big piece of chocolate birthday cake! London got to go too and she enjoyed hanging out and watching everyone. It was a super fun day! It's fun getting to be a kid again through them---birthday parties are awesome!
Here we are watching the clown. It took Hudson a little while to get interested in watching the clown because all he could think about was jumping in the moonwalks.
Here is my pretty little girl:

Papa & Gigi Visit!
My Mom & Dad came to visit at the end of February. We had such a great time hanging out with them! Hudson was really needing some Papa & Gigi time. They gave him a re-fill of happiness. He keeps asking when we are going to go to Oklahoma to Papa and Gigi house...it's time to plan a road trip! Thanks for coming all the way down here to hang out with us! We love you both dearly!!
Flip This House!
Here are some pictures after the first day of contruction on the "dirty house". They ripped out all of the moldy drywall and put the house through a mold treatment process that lasted about 3 days.

Why am I so behind on the blog?
This is why.....
Jason and Jeff have decided to start a side business to flip houses. After a lot of work and a lot of learning the ins and outs of the business, they finally got their first house. Hudson has termed it the "dirty house" and it is just that. Jason termed it "the terd" and that may actually be a better description. It is quite disgusting that there were people living in this house this way. It had mold growing in most of the rooms and it smelled like animal feces. Yuck! However, these guys have a vision and it is well packaged with determination! Here are some pictures as the construction crew was getting ready to start on the big make-over. (To answer my question above, Jason has been super busy the past month with purchasing and now re-building this house. Since he is has been gone so much I have had zero leisure time to get on the computer and blog. It will all be worth it though and Jason is loving it!) I can't wait to see the end result!!
Here is the back of the house:
