The Faux Hawk

Hudson got a new hair cut yesterday. As usual, he was a big hit with the ladies and they had fun styling his hair in a "faux hawk"! And of course, he was already busy receiving calls from his agents. (yes, that is all drool on his shirt...he is working on another molar and I can't keep a bib on him any more.)

Here he is saying a few of his 2 syllable words for you. He was a little distracted by surfing the web on his blackberry so I gave up making him talk toward the end. :

Jason took this photo with his cell phone yesterday. Our neighbor has a golf cart that Hudson climbed into and pretended to drive. The next thing he knew all these kids piled on too with ( I guess) the expectation of a ride???????????

Spring has sprung

I bought some flowers last weekend but was slow getting them into the ground. I noticed they were near death when I came home one day so I decided it was time to plant them. Hudson decided to help by picking up after me. By this I mean, he unplanted the flowers as I planted them and put them back in the pots they came in! I looked over and noticed a row of holes where I had just planted flowers....then I saw them all laying on the ground partially crammed back into their pots.

My helper:

Our lilies just bloomed and Hudson loves them. I think its because he thinks the buds are bananas. I keep catching him trying to eat them!

A fun weekend

Hudson got his first swimming pool on Saturday! He was very "hoppy"! In case you are wondering what is in his mouth, he is busy eating a chicken nugget.

We went to a Crawfish boil at Terrie & Jeramy's neighborhood. They had a moonwalk that Hudson had fun bouncing in with his Daddy!

He got to see his first crawfish cage fight...

And drive his first Hummer...

My very 1st blog!

So for sometime now I've visited Laura's blog she made for Ben and I've always enjoyed looking at pictures and reading about their adventures. It is a great way to pass time when I'm bored at work and I have fun watching Ben grow and do silly things. It's like a virtual scrapbook that everyone can enjoy. Then Val sent me a link to her family blog and I thought, "Wait a minute!! Am I the only mom not blogging all of her child's milestones and daily happenings??". It turns out, I am. So I have officially joined the bandwagon. I will try to keep up, but I'm not promising miracles. I'm horrible at keeping up with My Space so we'll see how this works out. I really think this is a fun way for family and friends to keep up with what goes on in our lives and to watch Hudson grow. I'm sure that our blog will not be quite as exciting as Laura's as she gets to travel the world on a weekly basis (and I truly think she wears her camera around her neck at all times) but Hudson is PRETTY funny so I'm sure I'll get some entertaining video footage as soon as I figure out my new camera and how to upload the video.
