Vote For HUDSON!!!

I recieved my latest copy of Parent's Magazine and noticed they are having a Cutest Kid Contest.  Of course, like all parents, I think my kids are pretty darn cute so I decided, "Why not?!?!".  I have this picture (the one in the link) of Hudson right by my computer at work and it makes me smile everyday AND I thought it really showed off his personality.  I entered it into the contest and low and behold, he was chosen to be voted on this week in order to make it into the contest finals.  So if you think my Kid is Cute...please place your vote by clicking on the link below!   : )

"Thank you for entering the Parents Magazine Cover Contest! Your photo is currently in the running to become one of our weekly Reader’s Choice finalists! The photo with the most votes this week will go into our semi-final Reader’s Choice round for a chance to travel to New York City for the Parents Cover Contest Photo Shoot"

Julio

We have had a visitor for about 3 weeks now and his name is Julio!  We are dog sitting for Shawna and Jeff while they try to sell their house.  Hudson loves Julio!  When he first arrived at our house, Hudson thought Julio was his dog.  We tried and tried to explain to him that he was just here to visit but he would tell us, "No.  He's my dog.".  Jason told him he would get him his own dog but he responded with, "That's okay.  Mr. Jeff already did.".  I think he is starting to understand more that Julio will have to go back to his home but he still calls him his doggy and tells him he loves him.  He gets so excited every morning and afternoon to let Julio out of his kennel so they can play.  Julio has reminded Hudson of Eli though.  Just yesterday he told me he wanted Eli back.  Eli has been gone for a year now and Hudson still hasn't forgotten him.  About a month or so ago he asked me if Eli was feeling better and if we could go get him back from the doctor.  I almost burst into tears.  I told him Eli was  in doggie Heaven and he has a special job to be a doggie angel now.  He asked me if we could go to Heaven to see him and pick him up from work.  I told him I wished we could and then I carefully changed the subject.  : (

London in the Jump-a-roo

Right around London's 5 month birthday Hudson and I got the jump-a-roo out of the attic and put it together for London.  It took her a little while to figure what to do with it but after a little direction from Hudson she thought it was awesome!!  She didn't really know how to jump in it until this week.  Unfortunately, I have misplaced my camera but as soon as I find it I'll take some video so you can see how much fun she has in it now...what a difference just a couple weeks can make!

London's first time in her jump-a-roo:

Here are some Hudson flashbacks when he was London's age!  This is him the first time he was in the jump-a-roo:

This is when Hudson was just starting to sit up on his own (Easter day):

Welcome Baby Aiden!

Congratulations to Terrie & Jeramy Moffitt and big brother Eli on the birth of their new baby boy!

Aiden Kyle Moffitt was born April 6th at 3:00 PM.  He was 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 20 1/4 inches.  He has lots of pretty red hair that Terrie told me Dr. Hampton shaped into a little mohawk for his entry into the world!  He also looks a lot like his big brother, Eli!  They now have 2 very sweet little boys!

The Easter Bunny Comes To Our House

Hudson was so excited that the Easter bunny came to his house and hid eggs for him to find.  I didn't tell him that he had to find his Easter baskets inside because I wanted to see if he would notice them.  Jason had a hard time waking up so we were waiting for him to pull himself out of bed.  As we were waiting, Hudson went to the window to see if he could spot any eggs.  Right away, he noticed a Spiderman egg and he was soooo excited that Easter bunny brought him Spiderman eggs!  He turned around and he found London's basket sitting in her jump-a-roo.  He was as excited for her basket as he would be for his!  I asked him where his was and he started looking everywhere to hunt for it.  Just when he was ready to give up...he found it!
Here he is looking out the window trying to spot some eggs:

Here is Hudson with London's basket:

Here he is with his basket!  He was so excited that the Easter bunny brought him the Jumping Monster truck he's been asking for for 2 weeks!!!

London LOVED her Easter basket!  She couldn't stop grabbing the plastic and it would make her giggle every time!  I took some video of it but haven't had a chance to upload it yet.

FINALLY Daddy woke up and Hudson got to find his eggs!

London had fun watching!

And snuggling with her Daddy!

You can see below that he picked out all of the Spiderman eggs to look at first!

Later in the afternoon we went to the park and Hudson had a great time playing.  It was a perfect spring day!  HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!  GOD BLESS!

School Easter Party

London had so much fun at her 1st Easter party that she fell sound asleep on the way home.  When we pulled into our driveway, I noticed a package waiting for us by our front door!  Hudson was so excited!  It was an Easter gift from Papa & Gigi!!  I had him pose for a picture with his Easter "basket" that he made at school before getting his package outside, thus the fake smile!

Here are all of the eggs he got at the school egg hunt.

He was very excited to open all of his eggs and see what was inside!  He was very proud of his candy pile!

He wasn't quite sure about these gummy worms...he had never seen one before!  At first, he thought they were real worms and was not willing to put one in his mouth.  I had to take a bite first to show him it was really candy!

London woke up from Hudson's excitement while opening his Easter package from Papa & Gigi so we opened her eggs too!  Here she is with her Easter loot!  (Man, the Mom's from her class are blowing me away with their creativity!  I've gotta get on the ball!  I tried and tried to think of something other than candy and that was small enough to fit in an egg to stuff the baby eggs with.  I just couldn't think of anything though!  I really appreciate the creativity and thoughtfulness of all the mommies!  For those of you reading this who have young children or plan on having kids soon...take note!)

Sadie's mom, the one who did the Valentine's Day shovel, put these super cute socks in the eggs!  If you look in the picture above, you can see London wearing her necklace that has a pink chic filled with bubbles that one of the other mom's gave the babies.
Oliver's Mom stuffed the eggs (or the super cute carrots) with these cute baby wrist rattles!

Here is Hudson grabbing his package from the front porch:

Yummy!  A box full of goodies from the Popcorn Factory!!  He'll have to hide that one from his Daddy!!  Thank you Papa & Gigi!!  We love you!!
