The Ultimate Bubble Bath!!

Hudson just received his flu shot. He slept for 4 hrs. afterward. I kept checking on him to make sure he was still breathing so I decided to take a picture. The flu shot has made him go to the bathroom a lot so his poor little bum is very red and rashy. I wanted him to take a good soak in the tub but I knew from previous experiences that it would hurt him to be in the water. Jason decided to give him the ultimate bubble bath so he would be distracted and not think about the fact that his bottom was hurting...it worked...really, really well!!I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as me! I laugh every time I look at them...but then again, I'm his mother! : )

Zoo Boo

We went to the Zoo Boo this weekend. We had a great time showing Hudson all of the animals. He has learned about all of the animals from his books so he was excited to see them in person. His favorites were the monkeys!! He didn't want to leave them. They were making him laugh out loud. It was so cute! Hudson made lots of friends while we were there. One little girl's mom brought bread to feed the fish in the ponds. There were clearly posted signs around the exhibits stating not to feed the animals but they ignored them and tossed an entire bag of bread in the water. So the poor orangutans had to sit around watching the fish fill up their bellies. Here is a picture of one stretching his hand out as far as he could as he begged for a piece of bread. (I should have taken some time to play with this picture so you could see it better...I'll work on that!)

Here are Hudson and Jason watching the fish swim in the reflection pool.

Hudson's 1st Slumber Party

Hudson got to have his first friend spend the night! She just happened to be a girl...well, 2 girls actually...2 very pretty girls! Our friends, Carl and Kelley came to visit Saturday and they spent the night with us. Hudson had the best time playing with Gray. They are only about 6 months apart in age so they played very well together. I think Hudson's favorite thing he learned from Gray was Chase! We chase him around the house all the time and he loves it but it was like a completely different game with someone his own size. He keeps telling me, "Mama, chase...chase.".This is Gray's new baby sister, Isla. She was born the end of August so she is only 7 weeks old! She is such a good baby...she hardly made a peep the whole time she was here. Look at that smile! Here are Kelley and baby Isla:

Waiting for daddy

It has been raining for a couple of days so we have been stuck inside. Although the rain was nice and made it feel like fall, we were glad to see a break in the clouds. Here are some pictures of Hudson and I hanging out outside, playing with the pumpkins, and waiting for Daddy to come home. Hudson saw a black truck drive by and he told me he saw daddy's truck and blew it kisses.

He loves playing with the little pumpkins. They get thrown around and rolled down the side walk so I'll be amazed if they make until Halloween! Oh well, at least they are being enjoyed!
Hudson just noticed Jason sticks his hands in his pockets sometimes so it made him discover his own pockets. Now, he'll just be standing around all GQ with one hand in his pocket or he'll play peek-a-boo with his fingers.
Here's an update on me:
I accepted a positon with US Oncology and my official title will be Inside Sales Development Specialist. Basically I will be calling on Oncology physcians and facilities to use US Oncology's services. I will be working a block from Jason (once the new facility in The Woodlands opens in January) so that will be good...we can have lunch together! : ) I am happy that I have found a good job but I am incredibly sad to be leaving Hudson during the day. Before I had this awesome time at home with him, I was oblivious as to what I have been missing out on so it wasn't so hard going to work every day. Now I know exactly what I will be missing out on so it will be much harder this time around. He will be going back to the same daycare he attended before so I know that they love him and he loves them so he will adjust quickly and be happy. Hopefully he will save all of his giggles, stories, songs, and his sweetness for me and Jason when we get home! On the bright side, I got to go shopping for new business clothes since I haven't had to dress up for work since I worked for Wells Fargo Bank back in college! Oh, and we can start working on baby #2 soon!! : )

Daddy-O

I decided to highlight my hubby today:

If you stare at the center of this picture for 5 minutes you'll see an image appear! A couple weeks ago, Jason went duck hunting for the first time. My old boss from Lexicon, Mike, took him. He got 2 ducks! I never thought I'd see the day when I'd see Jason in camo (other than his military camo) but he had a really good time.

The Pumpkin Patch!

Last weekend we took a trip to the pumpkin patch! Hudson had a great time and was completely worn out by the time we left. I was a little disappointed because he wasn't all that into the pumpkins. He was distracted by everything around him that had wheels: strollers, wagons, tractors, trains, etc. Everytime he turned around there was something with wheels passing by him and all he could think about was riding and driving...such a boy!

Here he is eyeing the tractor or possibly thinking about stealing someone's wagon...
He thought the goat was pretty cool but really wanted to be in there with it.

He had a really great time going through the moonwalk obstacle course. The first time he went through he couldn't really figure out why he was inside this werid maze thing. After he went through it the first time and realized there was a slide at the end he couldn't get enough of it!

After playing on the moonwalk, it was time to wait in the long line for a train ride! It really started heating up outside so I had to take off his Halloween shirt and put a cooler shirt on. We had some snacks while we waited and Hudson got to have his first bag of popcorn...
and his first snowcone! He doesn't usually like cold things but since it was so hot he decided to give it a try!

Finally, it was our turn!! The pumpkin patch is at the Christmas tree farm so the train took us on a tour of the trees and the surrounding farm. It was sad to see that a lot of the trees were damaged from the hurricane. There will still be plenty for Christmas time just not as many perfect ones.

Before we left, Hudson got to go down the BIG slide!! He got to go 3 times for every ticket and he used up all the rest of our tickets going down the slide. He's pretty much a moonwalk slide expert now. So as you can see, we had a fun day at the Pumpkin Patch! Next stop...Zoo Boo!!!

Hollywood here I come!

Hudson is quite the little actor these days. I noticed it early on when he first started to pretend but now it is even more evident. He would probably be quite successful as a child actor (just to brag a bit: it seems that nearly everywhere we go someone comes up to us and tells us he should be a baby model or actor) but I really don't want him to turn out like McCaulley Caulkin, The Olsen twins, The Spears girls or the many other childhood stars that were ruined by fame. He'll have to settle for a smigett of Blogger Fame!

Here he is in his first acting debut:

This one came about after Jason was teasing Hudson and poked him in the belly with his finger. Hudson's reaction was so dramatic that he looked as if he had just been shot!

Here is Hudson acting out one of his favorite past times "crashing". He fake crashes off of everything. One of his best crashes actually came while pushing his toy lawn mower but of course I didn't catch it on camera.

This is Jason's version....hmmm, I wonder where Hudson gets his acting skills??? The first time he did this Hudson was actually very concerned for his daddy. He kept asking him if he was ok and was patting his head. This time all he cared about was his truck!

Carlock Wedding

This past weekend we went to a wedding in Grapevine, TX. One of Jason's navy buddy's, Arron Carlock, got married. This was the first time they have seen each other in almost 10yrs! The wedding was at a really neat little winery in downtown Grapevine. We had a nice time except for on the way there. We were almost to Grapevine, in heavy traffic and hoping we would make it there on time, when Hudson got car sick and started throwing up! He threw up in my purse, all over himself, and all over his carseat. We made it to our hotel in time for Jason to unload us and all of our stuff and then he zoomed over the the wedding. I staid at the hotel and cleaned up Hudson and everything else. Then Jason picked us up and took us back to enjoy the reception. Hudson was feeling great as if it had never happened.

Time Out

The terrible 2's are starting to kick in and someone has been spending a lot more time in Time Out lately. Since he is almost 2 he has graduated to 2 minutes in time out. For the most part he is really, really sweet but every now and then those wild, naughty hairs come out and we have to let him know who is boss!
