Jammin' on the guitar
Here is an example of one of Hudson's jam sessions on his guitar. He LOVES his guitar but is down to only 2 strings now. It's about time for Daddy to re-string it for him!

A new pool
A few weekends ago we got Hudson's old frog pool out for him to splash around in but it ended up having a leak. So sadly, we had to say goodbye to Frog. We have been considering getting a "real" pool as we are having record breaking temps down here in Houston but until that day comes...we got the biggest plastic pool we could find...with a slide! Hudson loves it! He has just as much fun in this pool as he does in a real pool. Plus, Jason and I can both fit in it too!

Father's Day
Happy Father's Day!!! We let Daddy sleep in this morning so Hudson and I had fun playing and watching cartoons. As soon as Daddy woke up, Hudson ran to him with his gift and told him Happy Father's Day! We had a good, relaxing morning and then we went to eat Jason's favorite food-BBQ. The man is truly addicted to BBQ and olives. It was pretty yummy though! After lunch, we roamed through Lowes-Daddy's favorite store. Then we went home and just kind of hung out together all day. It was really nice to just chill for a day.
Thank you Jason for being such an amazing Daddy! I love watching you interact with Hudson and I love seeing your traits come out in him. Thank you for working so hard to provide such a great life for us. We appreciate you and love you more than words can express!
Thanks to my Daddy-o for always being there for me and for making me laugh when I want to cry. Thank you for your guidance and love. You are awesome!
Thanks to Dad Holladay for raising such a wonderful man! You should be very proud!
Jason recently got a new iPhone, which he thinks is the best invention ever! He requested a wireless headset so he can jog, listen to music, and talk on the phone...now that is multi-tasking at its best! He said the headset is the 2nd best invention! For some guys, they say food is the way to a man's heart but for Jason, it's electronics! Needless to say, he was a happy man on Father's Day.

I'm growing...
I finally finished the growth chart I painted Hudson's wall. I've had the palm tree and stuff up there for about a year or so but I alway intended to paint a growth chart...now it's finally done. Hudson measures a little over 3 feet tall!
It's a GIRL!!!
On June 2nd we found out we are having a little girl! Here are some pictures of her at about 20 weeks. She is getting bigger and bigger and stronger and stronger...I have a big, pulsing belly to proove it! So far we've only come up with 2 name choices (please feel free to vote for your favorite): Elliott or London
Here is a picture of her bent knee and her hand:
Catching Up
Ok! I got my camera cord! Let me just vent for a sec...one of my biggest pet peeves is when things come packaged in that stupid hard plastic that is impossible to cut into. Once you actually cut into it, you basically have to wear chain mesh gloves to open it so you don't slice your fingers off. I was so glad to get a new transfer thing for my camera but as you can tell, I ended up terribly frustrated trying to get into the stupid thing! I just think 3 layers of plastic is a little over the top to protect something that costs $20. Ok, I feel better getting that off my chest. : )
Here are some pictures that go along with my last 2 posts:

Johnny Rocket's
This Saturday, we went to Market Street to have lunch at a 50's diner called Johnny Rocket's. Hudson loves the music there! I think he danced in his seat more than he ate. After lunch we walked around the park across the street and watched people kayaking down the little river. We walked through the hedge maze and read a couple of the stories we came across. (I'll have pictures of this later) Then it was time for Hudson to nap so we went home for a while. After Hudson woke up we went to the movies to watch Up! It was a great movie!! Hudson was slightly disappointed it wasn't Nemo because Jason messed up and told him we were going to go watch Nemo. He new Hudson wouldn't know what Up was. Hudson doesn't forget anything though and kept asking where Nemo was. He did enjoy the movie though! This was his 2nd trip to the movies. About a month or so ago we took him to watch Monsters vs. Aliens (a Disney cartoon) in 3D! That was both mine and Jason's first time to watch a movie in 3D and it was awesome!!
For some reason, when he says "cheese!" for pictures, he always looks upset. I've got to come up with a word that makes him smile bigger! He was actually quite happy when we took this picture.

Play Date
I still have not found the cord to my camera so I can only use pictures that we take on Jason's phone right now. I'm going to try and hunt down a new cord on my lunch hour today!
A couple weekends ago, our friends Ashlee and Jeff invited us to go to the pool with them and their daughter, Cailin. Suprisingly, Hudson was not too keen on the waterslide. I think it was mostly because the huge water bucket on top would spill over and soak him while he was waiting in line and he didn't like that at all. He had a blast just playing in the water and floating around the lazy river though. After the pool, we went home, took naps and cleaned up. Then we went to Ashlee and Jeff's house for a BBQ. (which was super yummy!) Mindy, Jeremy, & Magnolia were there too. Hudson had a great time playing with Cailin and Magnolia. He had a ton of fun zooming around on Cailin's car on the wood floors!

1st Day of Pre-School
Today was Hudson's first day of Pre-school! I was completely caught off gaurd when I got a note from the school telling me Hudson would be moving up to the pre-school class. I just wasn't ready for my little baby to make that transition. I'm very emotional right now...having double the girl hormones in my body and all...and I had this urge to cry for about 2 days. Hudson, however, took it very well and was very excited! The first day, Jason dropped him off and once they opened the door to his new class he kind of clung to his Daddy. Jason felt proud and "needed". He told him he loved him, gave him lots of hugs, and then he emailed me and told me to be sure to give him lots of love when I picked him up that afternoon. When I got there to pick him up, he was having so much fun! He had to show me all of the new toys, friends, and puzzles in his new class. I could hardly get him to leave. The next day, he dove out of Jason's arms and barely told him good-bye. Jason felt sad and a little less needed. We have all made it through the transition though and Hudson is having a great time and learning lots of new things!

Let's Go Fly A Kite...
So it's been a while since I've posted anything...again! I'm a blame shifter so I'll start with excuse number 1: Blame Jason: Jason recently got a new desk for our home office and suddenly he decided our PC (granted we've had it since our college days) is no longer worthy of sitting on his desk. I came home one day to find it packed up and put away so now we are down to just our lap top...which he is always on. I think this is his way of trying to convince me that we need a new Mac computer. Excuse number 2: I lost my transfer cord to my camera...again!! I swear I have truly lost my brain with this pregnancy! Those of you who see me often know exactly what I'm talking about! ; )
Now, on to the reason you are all here...my little Huddy Buddy! We took Hudson to go fly a kite for the first time. We were all very excited for this event. Especially Hudson! He did not stop asking us to take him to the store to buy a kite from the moment we mentioned it. He told us he wanted a green one...this seems to be his favorite color. We made our way to Wal-mart but it took us forever to find a kite. Finally, we found a Buzz Lightyear kite and luckily it had some green on it and a green tail. Hudson would not let go of it and had to hold it all the way to the park. We made it to the park and put the kite together and Hudson was on pins and needles to "fly" his kite. However, his excitement quickly turned to frustration when his Daddy would not let him "fly" his kite. We were trying to get it in the air so we could hand over the control to him but that was not what he wanted. It took us a while to realize why he was so upset. We finally figured out that he thought he was going to get to fly ON his kite. He kept telling us he wanted to go up in the sky and fly. So as you can imagine, actually flying a kite was quite disappointing to him. He quickly lost interest and we played on the playground instead. It is funny to realize how kids see everything in such a literal sense.
