Well, after being in the shop almost all summer, we finally got our jet ski back. We had been looking foward to taking it out on the lake all week. We knew Hudson would love driving it...and he did! However, after we made our way to the other side of the lake, it completely died on us. Jason, Hudson, & I were all sadly stranded out on the lake. Right before we left the dock Jason made me take my camera and phone back to the truck so we wouldn't risk damaging them with the water so we couldn't call anyone to help. Luckily, a super nice lady and her daughter cruised by and after realizing that we weren't just being extra friendly by waving at them they turned around to tow us to shore. As we neared the lake's edge, she slowed the boat down to get further directions. We didn't pay attention to the slack that formed in the rope towing us (we were still on the jet ski) and when she took off again it flipped all 3 of us into the lake!! Luckily it happened slowly enough for me to realize what was happening and I clutched Hudson as tight as I could as we went under. We all survived and made it back to the boat dock. Hudson was very brave and never even cried or got upset at all...I think he actually enjoyed the crash into the water! Anyone want to buy a jet ski?!?!?! : )

The Children's Museum
Today we all took Hudson to the Children's Museum in The Woodlands. It was our first time to go and we will definitely go back. There was so much for Hudson to do...he could have been entertained there all day long!
Here he is digging for dinosaur bones and fossils:
Jason didn't really feel that this was the best lesson to be learning so we quickly moved Hudson past the drawing on the car station.
We learned some great jokes from the crazy kids front and center. Ready? Where does a cow go for summer vacation?........to Moo Mexico!!! Here's another: When is a car not a car anymore??? .....When it turns into a garage!!! Ha! Come on, you know they're funny! : )

His next stop was his first art lesson with Papa. He was creating different crayon rubbings using different textures under his paper. After that he got to learn to shape homemade playdough!
Here he is being just like Daddy (he copies EVERYTHING now! It's so cute!!) while watching the band perform some fun songs.
Uncle Tom, this picture is for you! If you move here you could be flying in this exact helicopter!! Please choose Conroe!! : )
Here are Hudson, Daddy, & Papa playing with the scarf-like parachutes.

Hudson loves to brush his teeth so he thought the giant mouth & toothbrush were pretty cool. Just hangin' out in the back of the old farm truck...
Here is Hudson dancing and playing with the bubbles while the one-man band played music for the kids. It took him a while to figure out what the heck was going on but once he did, he started letting loose!

Papa & Gigi come to visit
My parents came to visit today and to celebrate my birthday with us! They really, really spoiled me! Birthdays are so much fun...even if you are getting older! They brought goodies for Jason and Hudson too...although Jason was envious of Hudson's building blocks and quickly hogged them. I forsee Hudson may have a problem with sharing if he learns from watching his dad. ; )
Hudson watched me trying on the awesome jackets my parents got me. He wanted a turn to model...here he is on the catwalk, yah on the catwalk. oooohhhh he'll do his little turn on the catwalk....
And here is Jason's creation with Hudson's blocks. He was SO proud of it that he made me take a picture!

Potty Time!!
Jill, you may want to skip this one....
This morning Hudson came up to me saying, "potty, potty, potty, potty...." and was pointing toward the bathroom. I haven't started trying to potty train him yet but I figured since he was asking I would go ahead and put him on the potty. Low and behold he went poo poo on the potty right away! He was so proud of himself! (He even knew to wipe, put the seat down, and flush!...he's brilliant!) We were proud of him too...hopefully this is a good sign that potty training will be fairly easy with him.

My Mommy's old...
Sorry, it's been a while since I've updated the blog...Jason has been using my camera for work so I haven't been able to upload a lot of my pictures until recently. So let me catch you up....
Well, today I celebrated my 30th birthday. I feel like I'm offically an adult. Now, even those in their 20's will think, "wow, 30...she's old", when I tell them how old I am. (that's what I used to think about 30 yr old's anyway!) That's kinda disappointing but on the flip side, I am super thankful for each day that I have lived for my 30 years and I hope there are many more! I have to say that I have a pretty awesome life and I really couldn't ask for a more perfect family or for better friends! Much love to you all!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO UNLCE LEE AND AUNT ERI"KA"!
Hudson had a blast playing with this birthday hat while we were getting ready for my party. Here are my GIRLZ! Do I have some hot friends or what?!?!? : )

For some reason Hudson thought that my birthday party would be a fantastic time to start taking his pants off by himself!
Jason got me 30 balloons which, after a lot of maneuvering, he some how managed to stuff into his truck with Hudson. (don't worry, he was careful to make sure Hudson would not be sufficated by them!) I think only 26 of them surrvived the entire trip home but I was highly amused by them so the trouble was very much appreciated! Hudson had a ton of fun playing with all of them the next day!

Splish Splash Sunday
The Creekside subdivision that just opened next to us has built an amazing neighborhood pool that we went to on Sunday. It has a lazy river, a water park quality slide, and a great area for Hudson to play in. Mike & Lindsay went with us and we had a blast!
I'm so cool that I gotta wear shades!

Horse Races
Shawna & Jeff had some extra tickets and invited us to go to the horses races & Clint Black concert with them. Hudson had a great time and LOVES horses now! One of the horses really liked him too and kept trying to give him kisses which Hudson thought was hilarious!
Here are the boys watching the first race. The horses went by to fast for me to catch them in the picture.

Tropical Storm Edouard
Well, Hudson survived his first tropical storm. It was a little disappointing b/c it was pretty weak. It was just a typical rainy day. Here he is watching the rain and wind out of the window.
