Standing Up

London started pulling herself up while we were home for my birthday.  She was still at that stage where she would get stuck standing and not know how to get back down.  The following week she became really good at it and totally figured out how to sit back down when she needed to!  Now, she stands more than she sits or crawls...well...she still really likes to crawl and she's gotten pretty fast!  I'm sure it won't be long before she starts walking.  *sniff*sniff   She also likes to pick up every little bitty thing on the floor.  I'm always sweeping and trying to pick up every crumb, string, and piece of fuzz before she puts it in her mouth.  Her teachers made a comment that they need to go around the room at school with tape and pick up every little thing before she does because they are digging things out of her mouth all day!  Just when you think you have everything...she finds something somewhere!  Hudson has become really good at detecting when she has put something in her mouth or when she is near something she shouldn't be.  I think this will be her best way to learn not to do it because he nearly gives her a heart attack when he screams, "London!!!  Noooooooo!  That's danger!!!!"  He is also good to know which toys he shouldn't have around her and keeps them out of her reach.  He is really the best big brother ever!  They really adore each other...let's hope it stays that way!

Here is London trying really hard to help Hudson and Daddy put a puzzle together.  Only her way of "helping" is by trying to eat the pieces.

I think, kind of like a dog, London has learned that if Hudson is eating, crumbs will be near!  Here she is saying good morning to Hudson while he eats his breakfast!  He gets SO excited when he sees her standing up.  When she was standing here next to him he started yelling, "MAMA!!!  London is standing!!!  Take a picture....take a picture!!!!"  So I did! : )
