Ohio Vacation: Day 6

Day 6 included a game of Survivor…here are the ‘Thumb Masters’ (a.k.a. The Jasons)

And Hudson got to roast marshmallows for the first time…and they were jumbo marshmallows!  Yummy in our tummies!

Ohio Vacation: Day 5

So Day 5 was yet another fun adventure!  We got the fantastic idea to all load up in the RV and go to Put-In-Bay family-style!  Hudson was super duper thrilled to ride in the ‘bus’.  However, it didn’t take him long to fall sound asleep!  When we got there, we got to ride the ferry over to the island.  Then we rented golf carts to cruise around in and explore the island.

Jason tried to re-create the moment from when Hudson had his first lemon in this same place.  London was a little distracted by all of the cameras on her and it just wasn’t the same.

Hudson ended up moving outside to sit by my dad on the ferry and sang at the top of his lungs until we reached land again.

Ohio Vacation: Day 4

Ahhh, day four!  More fun in the sun, relaxation, cornhole, yummy food, boating, visiting = fabulous vacation!

And then…it was time for a new experience!  My mom and dad watched Hudson & London while Jason and I joined the rest of the crew as we made up The Willard Hash House Harriers.  Maureen and Jason introduced us to this game (named after a restaurant called the Hash House; not marijuana--there are no drugs involved!) and led us through a bit of a scavenger hunt around town.  Maureen was our “Hare” and she left us a trail (and many false trails) that included many pits stops with drinks and snacks to enjoy.  Once we found our final destination, we ended the adventure with the traditional Hash House Harrier songs and some traditional harassment of team players!  It was a B*L*A*S*T!!!

Ohio Vacation: Day 3

Our third day started out the same as day 2:  It didn’t take Hudson long to get a routine down and learn who to ask for what!  He had breakfast with Aunt Beth (toast with jelly).  Then he called around the house for Uncle Bill asking for him to take him fishing.  They caught lots of fish.  Then Daddy joined them and later took Hudson for a boat ride in the canoe.  Then Hudson went for another ride on the Hotdog and drove the boat. 
We also had a full day of playing cornhole in our family cornhole tournament.  We soaked up the sun, relaxed, and had more fun!

Ohio Vacation: Day 2

Sunday, June 27th, was our family reunion.  Hudson started out the day with toast & jelly with Aunt Beth, fishing with Daddy & Uncle Bill, playing with Dameon the lizzard, and some good wrestling time with Papa.  After that, Corey took him for a ride on the hotdog!  This was probably the highlight of his day!!  Everyone was so sweet and attentive to Hudson---Thank you so, so much!!!  After playing in the water, he was worn out and it was time for a good nap.  While Hudson was busy napping, the family was busy arriving with lots of delicious food!!  I should have taken pictures of all of the food!  I love events like this because you get to eat what equates to probably 10 meals and at least 10 deserts and it is perfectly acceptable! 




Hudson woke up and found a new buddy!  My cousin, Sam, has 2 gorgeous boys that are around Hudson's age.  Both she and Anni let us borrow a lot of baby stuff for London to use.  It was a HUGE help and we are very grateful to both of them!

Right in the middle of the reunion, a big storm arrived with a torrential downpour!  I love this picture o f the kids trying to catch the rain in their mouths!

At the end of the day, Hudson and Gigi gave each other 'haircuts' in Uncle Bill's barber chair!
