Getting the baby room ready

For some reason picking out bedding for London and figuring out how I want to decorate her room was really hard for me!! I don't know why, probably a few extra hormones pumping through my body, but it was stressing me out and I just couldn't decide!! There are just so many choices with girls and I wanted to choose the perfect one. Luckily, my mom and my friends were there to help me out!! Thank you! One evening, Terrie went with me to the bedding store so she could be with me to see some of my choices in person and help me out. One of my choices I had not been able to see in person, only online. Terrie is a "make things happen" kinda girl so she asked them if they had anything anywhere that I could look at to get an idea of what it would look like in person. Low and behold, they had the diaper stacker and mobile stashed away in the back! Emily saw the picture of this particular bedding and it was by far her favorite because she said it reminded her of our dance outfits when we took dance as little girls! That stuck in my head and when I brought home the diaper stacker and the mobile and put them them in London's room I knew that was the one!! I love it!! (and it does remind me of our dance outfits!!)The whole set arrived when my parents where here visiting so they helped us paint the room and my Dad added some super cute faries (that I'm currently painting)! We are just waiting for Hudson's big boy furniture to arrive so we can move his current furniture into her room. Then I will get to set it all up and get everything organized. After that, I'll take pictures and post them. Here is a picture of the set I went with (it's called "Sassy"!):

London update

These will probably be my last ultrasound pictures and sneak preview of little London before she arrives. She is about 30 weeks old here. I just got the ultrasound reading back and my Dr. said she is growing and making some progress. She moved up from the 28% to 31%. She was about 2 weeks behind and now she's about 1 1/2 weeks behind so she's working on it! They estimated her to be about 2 1/2 lbs right now so she is still pretty tiny. My doctor said she is not worried at all though. She said Hudson was probably the same at this point since he was a pretty small baby (6lbs. 11oz.) and now he's the biggest kid in his class! She said it is a positive because it will just be that much easier on me when delivery time comes around.

I think we woke her up during the ultrasound from all the pushing around on her cozy little home. You can see her starting to open up her eye in this picture. Then we saw her bring up her little hands to rub her sleepy eyes.
In this picture, you can see her eye is wide open. I think she looks like she is going to have big eyes and big cheeks like Hudson! We'll soon find out!

And here are her legs all stretched out. I'm pretty sure she is like this fairly often because I can feel her stretching out all of the time. I have no doubt she is growing because my belly sure is!

Papa & Gigi come to visit!!!

I am a lucky girl! My parents came down to visit so not only did I get to spend some wonderful time with my family but I also got to extend my birthday another week! I couldn't take extra time off work since I have to save up my time for maternity leave but we still got to spend our evenings and all of Saturday together. We had fun opening up all of the goodies they brought! Hudson got a new tool set which he LOVES! He watches his Daddy fix things all the time so now he has his own tools to fix everything. A few weeks ago I mentioned to him that his birthday was around the corner and he has NOT forgotten! He asks me every couple of days if it is his birthday. When we were celebrating my birthday he was a little confused b/c he thought it was his. He is really looking forward to having his own birthday cake with his own candles to blow out!

Here I am with my birthday presents! One of the things my parents got me was a new wallet-- without even knowing about the new purse Jason got me...great minds think a like! Of course it helps that they know me well! I'm not really one to go shopping for those things myself so I carry the same purse and stuff until I wear them out a have to get a new one! And they were sure not to leave baby London out! She got a super duper bag of goodies! It was like an entire baby shower in one bag!! So much fun! Girl stuff is awesome!!

Once the bag was empty, it turned into a car!! He can drive and crash anything!! And of course, my parents didn't leave Jason out! He got a manly diaper bag so he doesn't have to get upset when he has to tote around my pink one! : )

More birthday pictures

I got to celebrate my birthday all weekend long since it fell on a Sunday this year! Jason couldn't wait for Sunday to come around for me to open my presents. He was so excited that the second I got out of the shower Saturday morning he had them waiting for me and kept telling me it was time to open presents! He got me a Miche purse and a couple of different covers for it! He also got me a little purse hanger. A lady came to his office selling them and I wish I could have been a fly on the wall as he stood there with all of the ladies sifting through different colors and types of Miche purses! That image alone really made my day! It is pretty cool to just stick on a new cover to go with my outfit for the day. : )

My 31st Birthday

Well, I am offically over the 30 hump. I got a free day off of work (a much needed day off of work) on Friday! Hudson's school just happened to be closed that day so it worked out perfectly and we got to spend the day together. We met up with Lindsay & Matt, Jill, Ashlee & her family, and Daddy at Cheesecake Factory for an awesome birthday lunch!! Thanks guys! : ) Hudson and I had some super tastey Key Lime Cheesecake.

That evening, Jason took me to dinner at Gratzi's Italian restaurant. It was our first time there but it was really good. The owner couldn't take his eyes off of Hudson and they became good buddies. I think he came over to our table every 5 minutes to talk to Hudson. He gave Jason and I free dessert for my birthday and he gave Hudson an ice cream sandwhich. We will definitely go back!

Last 2 teeth

Hudson has been getting his last 2 molars and they haven't been very nice to him. He has had lots of grouchy moments so I know that is a red flag to break out the tylenol! It is so cute, even though I'm very tired, but he will sometimes come down stairs in the middle of the night and tap on my shoulder to wake me up. He'll ask me in this super sweet, yet sad voice to please give him some medicine because his teeth hurt. Soon it will be no more new teeth for him until about 1st grade! Then he will get to know the Tooth Fairy! : )

The Circus

Saturday we went to see the Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey Circus!! It was a first for all of us! Hudson was so excited all day that he just couldn't settle himself to take a nap. He was very good and remained in bed and tried to nap though...so we thought! Actually, he must have gotten bored laying there and decided to go through his drawers until he found some rash cream. He put it on, "All myself!", as he told us very excitedly.

Hudson got to eat cotton candy for the first time! He was a big fan! Jason and I had our share too. Who knows how long it has been since we last had cotton candy. It's so much fun being a kid again with Hudson! This must have been a pretty special bag of cotton candy because it cost us $12!! It was worth it though since we all got to experience the nastalgia of eating cotton candy at the circus...plus it came with a hat.

This is a picture of the tiger show, which I really enjoyed. Hudson, however, was a bit disappointed they were tigers and not lions. The tiger on the far left was being very stubborn and didn't do a thing the trainer told him! He just sat on his chair the whole time and Jason figured he was contemplating eating the trainer for lunch.

...We all scream for ICE CREAM!!! On Friday, Jason decided to pick Hudson up from school a little bit early and they went to McDonald's for ice cream! They have a 3 story play area in there and it was the first time we've actually gone inside for Hudson to even see it or play with it. He was so excited to play that he could hardly concentrate on eating his ice cream. They had a great time playing together!

The next day, Saturday morning, the boys made their weekly trip to Lowes while I was getting my hair done. Later that afternoon we went to the CIRCUS!! (pictures to come soon!)

Brunch with the Moffitt's!

The Sunday after Luke's birthday party we met up with Terrie, Jeramy, and baby Eli for brunch at Landry's. I stole these pictures from Terrie's blog b/c I left my camera at home after uploading birthday party pictures. (incase they look familiar to some of you!) Brunch was super yummy and we had a great time hanging out with the Moffitt's! Eli is the sweetest little guy and will melt your heart with his big smile and dimples! Hudson had a great time feeding the ducks, turtles, and fish. Eventually the sun became too hot and we were all starting to melt so we had to say our goodbyes. Thanks for hanging out with us! We really enjoyed seeing you guys!

A baby update

I went to my Dr.'s appointment on June 25th. They are going to stick to October 17th (sweetest day!) as her due date. They said she is still measuring small, weight-wise, but development is on track so they think she is just going to be petite. I have to get another ultrasound on July 8th because she was moving around too much and couldn't get a couple of specific pictures of her stomach and spine. Plus, they want to check her weight gain since she was only weighing in at 9oz. this time.

Since I never posted the paragraph above until now, I already have the results back from the July 8th ultrasound: Again, they said her development looked good and results came back normal. She is still measuring very small though...only in the 30th percentile. So again, they told me they think she is just small like me but they want to follow up with another ultrasound in a few weeks to check her growth and weight gain.

We really enjoyed watching her on this last ultrasound. She was very busy trying to catch her toes and play with them. We also saw her try to suck her thumb, open her eyes, and let out a big yawn! Here she is crossing her legs and taking a short break from trying to catch those toes!
